M.W. Sewall & Co. Files For Chapter 11
M.W. Sewall & Co., of Bath, ME, filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy yesterday at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maine. Citgo Petroleum (Energy)-EFT is listed as the largest unsecured creditor with an approximate $1.2 million claim.
The debtor operates 11 "Clipper Mart" stores, sells heating oil and propane and sells oil and propane heating equipment. M.W. Sewall & Co. employs roughly 150 individuals in Maine and is represented by Marcus, Clegg & Mistretta, P.A.
