Jancor Companies, Inc. files for chapter 11


UPDATE: On November 12th, the Assistant U.S. Trustee appointed a Committee of Unsecured Creditors

Jancor Companies, Inc. filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection yesterday at the United States Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington DE.  The Ohio based manufacturer listed assets of between $50 and $100 million.  Top unsecured creditors include Shintech Inc., Oxyvinyls L.P. and others.

WHM Copper Mountain Investments, LLC filed for chapter 11 this morning at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia.  The Atlanta debtor's petition lists assets of between $100 and $500 million.

Brooke Corporation files for Chapter 11


Brooke Corporation filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection yesterday at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas.  The Overland Park insurance operator's petition lists assets of $513 million and liabilities of $447 million. 

Brooke Capital Corporation also filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy at the same Court.  Brooke Corporation owns almost 65% of Brooke Capital Corporation.
