Intermet Corporation files for Chapter 11 Again

Intermet Corporation filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection yesterday at the United States Bankruptcy  Court in Wilmington, DE.  The Fort Worth Company operates 12 automotive manufacturing facilities in the United States and employs about 1700 employees.  The debtor also filed for Chapter 11 in September 2004.

Ascendia Brands, Inc. filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection today at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.  The Company's petition lists almost $195 million in assets and $279 in liabilities. The debtor is a manufacturer and distributor of health and beauty care products.
