Caraustar Industries, Inc. Files Prepackaged Chapter 11

Caraustar Industries, Inc. filed for chapter 11 on May 31, 2009 at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia.  The debtor manufactures, markets and sells recycled paperboard and converted paperboard in the United States and Canada. 

During fiscal 2008, the debtors generated approximately $820 million in sales.  As of the date of filing, the debtors had approximately $15.9 million in cash and cash equivalents.
