Tricom, S.A. files for chapter 11

Dominican Republic based, Tricom, S.A., filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Friday. The telecommunications company listed between $100-$500 million in assets on its petition filed at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Additionally, the debtor listed the Bank of New York (as indenture trustee), Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas, Stark Trading, Citigroup and Credit Suisse International as the largest unsecured creditors.
