MAXjet Airways, Inc. files for Chapter 11

MAXjet Airways, Inc. filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection today in Wilmington, Delaware.  The Dulles, Virginia airline listed Israeli Aircraft as its largest unsecured creditor with a trade claim of almost $2.4 million.  The debtor's website referenced high fuel prices and a difficult credit climate as reasons for its filing.
