AMS Health Sciences, Inc. files for chapter 11

AMS Health Sciences, Inc. filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection yesterday at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma. The Oklahoma City based developer and distributor of weight loss and nutritional products listed $6.8 million in assets and $3.4 million in debts. According to the debtor's petition, there are over 8.5 million shares of common stock held by approximately 1600 shareholders.
